Vacation 2011

It took us a long time to finally decide what we were going to do on vacation. We decided to visit family in Kentucky and then end the trip with the Monster Jam in Cincinnati. AJ's favorite truck, Brutus, was going to be in Cincinnati at the Monster Jam.

We started our vacation going to the Columbus Zoo. We went on a Monday hoping that the crowds would be a little lighter. The temperatures were so high. It was high 90's with heat index at least 103'.

The Polor Bear exhibit was cool. They kept looking at the water like they were just wanting to dive in.

AJ still always wants a stroller. He says that his legs get too tired. Too funny! He has always loved the stroller.

AJ's favorite animal to watch is the elephant.

This is only the second zoo that we have been to that the lions were moving. This male was trying to start stuff with the other lions, fun to watch.

First time AJ got to see manatees and sting rays.

By the time I took these pictures I was ready to jump into the fountain. It was miserable hot!

After the zoo we drove to Lexington, Ky to stay the night. It was nice since we drove on a different expressway and got to see different things.

The next day we drove around Lexington and did some shopping. We then drove down to family in Pineville. On the way we stopped at Dog Patch. AJ and I had fun trying on different hats.




We had a fun time with family!

Next year we are hoping to plan a trip to Disney World!
